Week 12 Screencasting

I have not done this yet. It is a good idea to to screencasting for many areas of my library, such as on the card catalog, in the computer lab. on how to sign on and how to save documents on a portable device. Also in the genealogy department, screencasting could be done on how to use the microfilms and the machines, and how to look up genealogy information on the genealogy resources we have available.

Week 10

I have heard of Hulu but did not know what it was. Now I have a better understanding of what it is. I have to explore this more.

Week 9 - Instant messaging

I have had questions on instant messaging but did not have a clue how it works. Now I have a better understanding of what it is and can understand some of the different services like AIM, Google talk, MSN messenger, Yahoo Messenger, Facebook, etc.

Week 8 - Cloud computing

It is good to learn that there are there soft ware tools available for use for free. This was new to me but would expolre more in time. The neat thing is the collaboration feature that is good.

week 7 - Mircoblogging

How neat. I have heard of Twitter, but was not quite sure how it works.. Now I have a good idea. Also, it is good to know that there are others out there to use like , plurk, Friend Feed, Tumbir and posterous. I will explore later.

Week 6 - Social bookmarking

Tagging & Social Booking marking would be very interesting when I can start using it.
